Our loved Kadie Bell

Our first mini was Kadie Bell a Salt and Pepper female passed this last Thursday after being hit by a car in Northern Kentucky. Kadie was placed in a retirement home last August and was loved by her new family as well as our Family here at BG minis. She was with her new family on a walk and Kadie broke from her leash and was hit by a car while on a walk. She was indeed a great family companion and loved by so many going back to our days in Minnesota. She came to us a small pup 8 weeks old and we will have always the first spot in our heart as our first mini schnauzer. In the rest of my posts I will talk about the things we did together and what she did for me and how she helped me. I will talk and write about the funny things she did during her lifetime. From the days she played with Aspen the Golden retriever in Hutchinson MN to the car rides. Kadie was known and loved by all the neighbors on Skyview Circle in Hutch. She was born in August for 2004 and came to us in the early fall. She was with us thru what I might call the great transition time for our family. We all have so many good memories of the " Thick Schnauzer" as she was called. More on all this later. I write with great sadness but also a great sense of joy for what we were allowed to share in her lifetime both us at BG minis and her family in Northern KY. Little did I know later last fall would be the last greeting I got from Kadie Bell and it was a memorable as they all were on my returns home. I am sure gonna miss ya Kadie Bell. Shadow your first buddy is here with me tonight and I have no way to tell here you are gone but I will always remember Kadie Bell and Sadie and Shadow playing when there were only the three!

Our Kadie Bells greatest love was for people and car rides.
She was the one was first at the door to go for a car ride. She was waiting for the leash.
The bounding off for the pickup or car for the " Car Ride"
Oh how she loved the fresh air. She would go from side to side of the truck wanting to look out.
Someone would be riding with me and hold Kadie so she could feel the air rushing by as we were driving thru town. What a vivid memory of this being left with all of us our beloved " Kadie Bell"

From time to time I will write of our joys ( not from the sadness of your sudden departure ) but from our joyfull experiences with Kadie Bell.
We loved you so much and we cherish the pleasant memories we shared!
For sure every Mini is special and special to each family! Richard and all the gang at BG Minis in Versailles KY

  1. It sure did help to write about our loved Kadie Bell. Sure was missing her last night and watching Shadow made it so more apparent our time with the minis is all so short. But one comes to value all of them and learn about each one of the minis and their ways and what they do all the time. Kadie was a friend to all the big dogs and no one every messed with her.
She was just too nice to everyone but we will talk about her barking to the wind on occassions.
