This is Sarah from ShayLA and Remington. She is now nearly 8 weeks old and will be going home They have been a great litter of 6 born right before Christmas 2009.We consider them now in our raising process to be teenagers. They are in a playpen during the day and a crate at night and doing wonderful AS we have learned it is very important before a pup goes to their new family they need to have played in the grass and on concrete surfaces.
We gradually harden the pups in for going outside for 2-3 minutes at a time and then building up their stays outside playing. At first when pups go outside to pottie and play they will often just huddle and shiver in a pile of pups. After a few days of getting the new feel of cement and grass they become more adventurous. Right now after 10 days even with these cold winter days they are loving the outside and adapting. This part of the process makes it very easy for them to be house trained when they go home. Like all steps in the puppy raising process simple but very essential step in the puppys growth and ever expanding world.
It is alwasy fun to see the development of the litters pup by pup week by week
